Here is the letter I had received from the Mom in this photo session… I could have never said it better myself!
“Marina,
This photo session is different than other photo sessions I’ve done with you. It shows our daily story in the ways I’ve never been able to see before. From napping, snacks, reading, coloring and painting, it really captures the beauty in our normal, everyday life. I didn’t know what to expect going into this, but once again, you have blown me away with the unique way you were able to show our loving connection in the comfort of our home. I see Raegan playing and jumping around everyday, but looking at it in picture form gave me an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the beautiful life I have with my little girl. I do not get to see how Raegan and I interact, so having these pictures will be a constant reminder of the connection I share with Raegan and will always be something I can look back on with immense happiness.

Nora turns 1! It is so magical to be able to witness major milestones in this first year of Nora’s life 🙂 She is such a sweet, happy and beautiful little lady now! I have been blessed to be the one to photograph this family throughout Nora’s first year and hope to watch this family grow 🙂
We had such a great time having fun altogether… Hugs, cuddles, kisses, frowns, tickles & tackles… we had it all that evening! In addition to all the fun, I absolutely loved the choice of outfits and truly appreciated all the effort this family put into getting ready for this family photography session such a lovely evening in sunny Broomfield, CO! Zachary turned 1! He is outspoken, independent and very handsome little guy 🙂
Here is what Zach’s mom shared about the photo session:
“We chose this session to commemorate Zach’s first birthday. When planning, I found it very helpful to visit your studio prior to the sessions. I was able to see what props were available. It was also an opportunity for you to meet Zach and see how his personality would affect the shoot.
… Zach loves being outdoors surrounded by water and rocks. That made the location of his photo session perfect. We were so happy with prior sessions you had taken at that location.
His favorite color is red and he loves throwing balls and reading books. Zach had his picture taken with a stuffed longhorn, named Bevo, in support of his father’s alma mater. The stuffed animal was used in his newborn pictures and in every monthly picture the past year.
We are very happy with the proofs and can’t wait to see the prints! “
I fell in love with this family, for many reasons… I was counting the days to hear the news about Harper’s birth… I was so excited to meet Harper, that I stayed in touch and kept checking in 🙂 I am so happy to welcome Harper into this world and capture these priceless first portraits for her family to treasure!
Please, allow me to share with you what Harper’s mom wrote to me, the words that brought happy tears to my eyes… and not because of the appreciation, gratitude and admiration of my work, but the way they feel about their first daughter, Harper. Here it is :
“As I searched for a newborn photographer in Denver your work absolutely stood above any other photographer’s work that I could find. When I ran across your website I immediately knew that I wanted to have you photograph our baby girl. I have always dreamed to have my baby photographed in this way. The art behind your newborn photography is fascinating to me. As a child, I was in love with Anne Geddes photography. I had all of her books. Your work reminded me of her work.
Marina, you were immensely helpful during the preparation process as well as photo session. I was impressed that you had spent over a couple of hours with me when we first met to discuss doing a session. Then you spent a lot of time with me making sure colors were right, that you were taking shots that I would personally connect with and making sure I like the background and props. I wanted to capture the love of us as parents and then I also wanted beautiful photos of her. I went with lighter color clothing because I like a more natural look. I choose the accessories and props based on what I thought went best with our home and her nursery. And you took to heart the photos that I sent you via Pinterest and you made it your mission to ensure that captured exactly what we wanted.
The results are fantastic. You captured incredible photos of our little angel and we will cherish these photos forever. Your work is art that is well beyond photography. How you mold the baby and work with the baby during the session is truly amazing. I am in awe of your talent and the work that you produce.
The session captures a complete change in our lives. It is incredibly special to welcome our little girl into our lives. Words can’t describe the feeling. We are looking forward to taking long walks on the beach with our little Harper, spending time on the water, teaching her to swim and spending time hiking and enjoying the snowy mountains in the winter. I am most proud to just be her mom. She adds tremendous joy into our lives and offers us a love that is incomparable to anything we have experienced.”
